The studio I work at is currently animating a project that has some characters that are birds. So I have been animating all sorts of lovely feathered dearies recently.
I don't know why all my macaws turned out looking like owls, but at is ok, because the color is clearly that of a scarlet macaw (this is what I tell myself).
Have a lovely Thursday and or Friday depending where you are in the world.

But how could it simultaneously be thursday AND friday? Well... if you have one foot on the ground in Nevada and the other in Utah at midnight MST, that's how!

Cool looking birds. What (photoshop?) brushes do you use to get the featheriness?

Hey there, the brushes I use already come with photoshop, but then I tweek them a little to my liking to get what i need. The brush is called the Chalk Brush in photoshop but then you can mess with it in the brush presets. Can give some cool textures. :)

I love the middle bird! Although, now that you mention it, it does look a little like an owl. The bird on the right definitely looks like an owl, haha. You're a wonderful artist!
